Six separate test charts are in folders AE06 to AE59
with test elements of ISO 9241-306, ISO/IEC 15775, ISO TR 24705, ISO/IEC TR 19797, and DIN 33872-1 to -6, see for example http://www.ps.bam.de/33872.

Test elements are for example Siemens-stars, Landolt-rings, line screens,
5, 9 and 16 step colour scales, and the device (index dd) or elementary (index de) hue output for eight contrast steps CY1 to CY8 (with eight different gamma values).

For more information see Annex D (informative) of ISO DIS 9241-306(E):2017
and the former test charts of ISO 9241-306(E):2008 at the URL http://www.ps.bam.de/9241E.

Abbreviations used in the following text
1MR = 1-Minus-Relation: Transfer of colour data cmyk and w=1-k to colour data rgb and vice versa. This transfer is defined by the mostly identical programming languages PS (PostScript) and PDF (Portable Document) of Adobe, see also ISO TC 171 "Document Management". Examples are the three equations:
r = 1 - c, g = 1 - m, and b = 1 - y.

DEH = Device to Elementary Hue: Transfer of the device-dependent rgb(dd) data to the device-independent elementary rgb(de) data for the output of elementary colours. The elementary colours are defined by visual criteria, for example elementary Red Re is neither yellowish nor bluish. DDH mean no transfer.

CYi (i=1 to 8) = 8 contrast steps: The ratio of the CIE tristimulus values of White W and Black N Y(W) : Y(N) varies between CY(8) = 288:1 and CY(1) = 2,25:1 in the output.

Reproduction of the first original page of the PS file which uses the three PS operators "rgb setrgbcolor, cmyk setcmykcolor, and w setgray".

Remarks: There are computer operating systems and there is software which produces for the output on displays the same colours for the inner and the outer rectangles as seen in the following figure. According to the informative Annex D of ISO DIS 9241-306:2017 this is the option 1MR. The options 1MR and DEH may be important for many ergonomic display applications.

The reproduction of the first page applies the transfers 1MR and DEH. A "PostScript Frame File (PSFF)" realizes both transfers. The PSFF transfers the data of the two PS-operators "cmyk setcmykcolor and w setgray" to "rgb setrgbcolor". In addition the rgb(dd) data are transferred to the rgb(de) data for the device data of the standard device sRGB according to IEC 61966-2-1.
